Because of the long service of the high quality regiments, George Washington, according to tradition, referred to the Maryland units as his “Old Line,” giving Maryland one of its nicknames as “The Old Line State. As Washington depended on his Old Line to protect Baltimore from the British, we can now depend on it to help the City and its charities.
All proceeds from this event supported the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life.
