Event Date: February 23, 2013
Old Line Society partnered up with the Young Defenders in organizing The Bootleggers Bash, a 1920’s themed party benefitting the Maryland Historical Society. A sell-out crowd of over 200 traditionally-minded young professionals came out to a “secret speak-easy location” (the since closed Meli in Fells Point) for a night of champagne, 1920s vintage cocktails, and live music and dancing by the Swingin’ Swamis. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors including Ruff Roofers, Batoff Associates, and Ski Roundtop, attendees were able to “raise funds while raising their glasses” and become reacquainted with one of Baltimore’s finest and oldest cultural institutions.
