7th Annual Rally on the Rail benefiting Gilchrist Kids

Enjoy the Best of Fall with a Front Row Seat to the Races at the 7th Annual Rally on the Rail.

Rally on the Rail at Baltimore’s most popular fall event, the Legacy Chase Steeplechase at Shawan Downs, just minutes from the city in the beautiful Baltimore countryside, all in support of Gilchrist Kids, a division of Gilchrist Cares.

• Southsides and specialty cocktails

• Race betting and raffles, drinking games and cornhole
•Vendor trunk-show and silent auction items
• A front row seat to all the action in the Old Line tent along the stretch.

Celebrity guests will include top professional jockeys and trainers, who will be on hand to give you your race day tips.

100% of the proceeds from Rally on the Rail will go to the Gilchrist Kids, the largest dedicated pediatric hospice team in Maryland, providing care for infants, children and young adults diagnosed with life limited illness or injury throughout central Maryland. Shop: OLS is pleased to welcome back Yoicks! as our signature retail vendor for the 2019 Rally on the Rail.Specializing in traditional country clothing and equestrian-based sporting art, Yoicks! tent shows have become a familiar fixture of the Maryland Spring timber season at the My Lady’s Manor and Grand National Steeplechase Races.

Along with their usual selection of traditional British clothing brands such as Lock Hatters and Corgi Socks, they will also present a selection from their Vicennial exhibition of furniture, paintings and bronzes. Click here for details.

Jump in the Game with The Old Line Society for a calcutta cocktail party on the eve of the 117th running of the Grand National Steeplechase, Friday April 19th. All to benefit the Valleys Planning Council.

Benefiting: 100% of the proceeds from the Old Line Calcutta will benefit The Valleys Planning Council. For more than five decades, the VPC has been at the forefront of land use planning and preservation techniques in northwestern Baltimore County. The VPC’s mission: Conserving open space; protecting Baltimore County’s agricultural, natural, historic and scenic resources; and working to promote a balanced and rational use of the land for the benefit of present and future generations.

– Upon entrance, you will be given $50 in “funny money”
– Each time you go to “buy” a drink with your funny money, let the bartender know which group’s tab you want to put it on.
– The group with the highest tab at the end of the night WINS $3,000 CASH!

But how do you decide who to put your money on with all these great causes?

– Each group will have a cabana decorated for their cause with a specific game or activity to participate in and get to know what they’re all about.
– For each group’s activity that you participate in, you’ll get a stamp your Passport Book
– Collect all five stamps and you’ll be entered to win Swim Club cabana rentals, guest passes, and more.
